(CNET July 2, 2020) There might not be fireworks this year in some parts, but you can still get a good show from the sky. On July 4th and 5th, you might be able to catch a glimpse of the 'buck moon' lunar ecplise.

According to NASA, the eclipse will be visible across most of North America and South America as well as parts of southwestern Europe and Africa. This NASA map can help you find your viewing window. You can find your exact viewing time and date here But what is a buck moon? It's a different version of a total lunar eclipse. A total eclipse can turn the moon to a crimson shade, being completely overtaken by the Earth's shadow. A buck moon is only partially covered by the Earth's outer shadow, known as penumbra. What you'll see this weekend is a very subtle change as only part of the moon will look darker than normal. This might be difficult to view with the human eye, even if you can't - it will still be a lovely full moon.
