(BBC July 6, 2020) If you have a drone, maybe you need to brush up on your safety guildelines and/or drone ettiquette (if there is such a thing). Last Tuesday, a drone almost collided with a small passenger aircraft outside Perth, Scotland.

Luckily, the plane was able to land safely at Perth airport a short time later. The drone was operating in restricted airspace around the airport. Had a collision occured, it could've been deadly.

As we were all just enjoying our drones this weekend, flying them through whatever fireworks we could find, there ARE rules that each drone owner must follow.
It is the responsobility of each pilot to make themselves aware of the appropriate legislation and be aware of the importance of responsible flying, particularly around airports, restricted airspace and congested areas.

In the US, you are required to register your drone, and follow the guidelines set by Federal Aviation Administration (FAA). You can find all the guidelines here.
