Amazon makes changes for sellers

CNET July 8, 2020) Starting Sept. 1, Amazon sellers will need to list their business name and address on their profile page. This policy is already in place in Europe, Japan, and Mexico. The change is to help customers make informed shopping decisions.
The online maketplace has faced criticism for how it handles the sale of counterfeit goods on its platform. Amazon is sharing more data with law enforcement and in June, they set up a counterfeit crimes unit to investigate and launch legal action against people selling knockoffs.
This could also provide more seller accountability and transparency.
